This position coordinates, manages, and enforces all requirements related to the following student travel abroad programs: short-term faculty-led study abroad programs, internships/mentorships, research, competitions/conferences and missions trips. This positions serves as the primary point of coordination for over 30 faculty led courses that has historically resulted in over 600 students participating annually, which is over 70% of all study abroad participation on campus. This position also plays a key or complementary role in travel registration, student applicant management, program director training, and compliance issues governing best practices according to the Department of Justice endorsed Forum for Education Abroad Standards (of which Baylor is a member). As part of the fastest growing segment in study abroad nationally, faculty led coordination is mission critical to study abroad running smoothly and effectively.
