Finance and Support Services Director - Sudan

Provide overall leadership, oversight and management support for all aspects of financial management in the National Office. This position is seen as a strategic partner, member of the Senior Management/Leadership Team of the NO, with a focus on ensuring accountability, stewardship, coordinating planning and budgeting processes, providing accurate financial data, analysis and advices, as well as developing financial strategy that best serves the NO strategic and program objectives. Operations & Technical Specialist

We are currently seeking a Operations Manager & Technical Specialist to provide comprehensive coordination of logistical operations, technical support for department computers and communications equipment, collect and provide disaster intelligence, monitor and track weather events in real time and provide “planning support” for domestic disasters, special projects, and development of U.S. based programs.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge in computer and communications technology with an emphasis on Apple products and the aptitude to stay up-to-date as technology advances.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel building spreadsheets using formulas and extreme attention to detail.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Quick Books highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of the GIS Web-based Mapping program preferred.
  • Extreme resourcefulness with dedication to monitor breaking news, weather service reports, and gather pertinent emergency management data from disaster-effected locales. Training in Hurrevac is available but working knowledge preferred.

  • Strong project management skills with ability to assess needs, determine resources, communicate plans, monitor goals, and evaluate results.

Program Coordinator

The Center for Public Justice (CPJ) seeks a program coordinator responsible for all logistical and substantive program operations. This program, split into two tracks, is designed to build the capacities of faith-based organizations to advance their missions. The first track of this program will provide a one-year sequence of organizational development education and capacity building activities for faith-based organizations through written resources, online learning sessions, in-person sessions, and peer-to-peer learning platforms. The second track of this program will equip both faith-based organizations and seminarians by providing intensive training to seminarians and then partnering each seminarian with a faith-based organization to serve as an organizational consultant.

Project Manager (International Disaster Response Grants)

This position will be responsible for: 1) the development and submission of detailed proposals to institutional funding agencies and; 2) managing international disaster response projects.  The submission of proposals and the management of assigned disaster response projects will be done in accordance with grant and project agreement requirements.  It will ensure the engagement and participation of all identified and necessary stakeholders.  The position will work in close collaboration with other members of the International Disaster Response Team by providing support in sudden onset emergencies and/or availing technical skills to support the development, monitoring and evaluation of other projects.

WASH Technical Specialist

Purpose of Position

Within the context of Lifewater’s Vision of a Healthy Village (VHV) program strategy, the WASH Technical Specialist serves to improve Water and Sanitation operational excellence, technical implementation, and long-term maintenance and sustainability of these hardware systems. The Specialist does this through oversight and review of technical water and sanitation programming which will improve the health and well-being of vulnerable children and families in targeted program regions. This position will support the national and field offices in their efficient and effective execution of the VHV including the operational review and field support of engineering designs/strategies, performance, maintenance, sustainability, monitoring, and evaluation tools related to hardware.

Curriculum Consultant - WASH in Schools Programming

Who You Are

We are looking for an experienced consultant to create a comprehensive and practical field guide/manual (East Africa-focused) that will be used by field staff for the implementation of a WASH in Schools program. This project would involve reviewing existing WASH in Schools approaches utilized by different organizations and critically evaluating which aspects will be the most effective and sustainable for Lifewater programs. All activities must be integrated within Lifewater’s Vision of a Healthy Village strategy. This is the first module of many that Lifewater will be developing this year. Successful completion of this project could lead to longer-term project work.

Project Coordinator, Nutrition

To implement nutrition program through the establishment of Outpatient Therapeutic Program (OTP), Stabilization Center (SC) and Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) programs.
