Executive Director – Homes for Hope

The executive director is responsible to provide overall leadership for implementing the H4H mission and executing the direction of the Homes for Hope Board of Directors. Maintains a strong working relationship with the HOPE International headquarters (CSU) team. The executive director’s primary responsibility is to secure commitments from a growing number of builders to build a home for hope and help drive the process to ensure completion of construction, sale, and funding to H4H, maximizing the amount of funds available to transfer to HOPE International.

  • Promote and fulfill the mission and vision of Homes for Hope International.

  • Strategic Leadership

  • Provide strategic leadership for the H4H program in order to grow partnerships and maintain existing relationships

  • Develop innovative solutions to grow the organization’s presence and footprint

  • Partner Cultivation and Support

  • Develop processes to ensure consistent partner & builder captain engagement

  • Communicate processes efficiently with H4H board

  • Develop and maintain relationships with builder captains

  • Liaise with HOPE International marketing team in developing collateral material and HOPE client stories for distribution to builder captains and other partner prospects

  • Develop creative means to share the story of H4H to new and existing donors

  • Develop the “seven touch” system of partner care to ensure growing, strong relationships

  • Administrative responsibility

  • Work closely with HOPE finance team to provide budgets & financial updates

  • Work with the HOPE marketing team to maintain the H4H website, create monthly communications, and develop essential collateral; e.g., event invitations and programs

  • Work with HOPE marketing team to increase H4H’s presence through Facebook, Twitter, and other social media

  • Maintain builder database and update project records

  • Schedule and prepare material for Homes for Hope quarterly Board meetings

  • Prepare agenda and provide updates for H4H progress at bi-monthly H4H meetings with H4H Founder and Board member


  • Personal confession of Christian faith and commitment to the mission and vision of HOPE International

  • Ability to think strategically and develop long-term vision for the organization

  • Five years in non-profit management experience (desirable)

  • At least five years of experience in some aspect of the homebuilding industry (desirable)

  • Excellent oral, written, and public communication skills

  • Strong people skills with an attitude/ability for high level customer service

  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office programs

  • Ability to conduct basic research

  • Ability to handle fast-paced and dynamic work schedule

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

  • Ability to work and direct in a team environment and to take initiative and work independently

  • A willingness and commitment to travel 20%-40% of the year
