What is the Opportunity?

The Finance and Payroll Coordinator is responsible for assisting the finance and accounting department with various duties, including but not limited to processing payroll, maintaining data records, inputting financial information, and helping maintain compliance with legal and organizational requirements related to payroll. This is a remote, part-time position reporting to the Director of Finance and Global Payroll.

A successful Finance and Payroll Coordinator will:

  • Maintain a strong Christian witness and model servant leadership to colleagues, partners, the communities we serve, and the public.
  • Assist with coordinating and achieving the objectives for the general accounting, payroll, and audit activities.
  • Process bi-weekly US payroll accurately and on time.
  • Maintain and update payroll records.
  • Accurately record financial information into the accounting system.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance in all payroll-related matters.
  • Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Payroll experience preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a team toward common goals and overcome diverse obstacles.
  • Positive attitude and contributor to a fun work environment.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Home internet bandwidth strong enough to support video conferencing and other job-related responsibilities is required.
